Twelve schools have qualified for the 2016 Pepsi Girls Cricket Week that gets underway on Saturday at four playing venues; Lugogo, Budo, Kyambogo and Gayaza.

This year's edition has been met with a change in the playing format as games for the first time will be played in a T20 format.

Kololo SS, Kyambogo College, Ndejje SS and Gayaza High School will represent the central region while, Jinja SS, St. James SS, Busoga High School, Lord's Meade Vocational School and Olila High Scool will represent the Eastern region.

Nyakasura  School, Kilembe SS for the Western region as Masaka SS for the South Western region.
