Police registers eight murders in two weeks

The Police have recorded 8 murder cases in a space of less than a fortnight.

According to the police spokesman, Fred Enanga, Nosu Nopai, 45, was lynched by a mob that accused him of being a witch in Yumbe district.

Scovia Osuru was reportedly strangled to death by her spouse in Arua district on suspicion she was cheating on him last week.

Bernard Kansiime, 53, is said to have been strangled to death by David Odabarema in Isingiro district while Benon Muwonge was reportedly killed in Sembabule district by John Ssekamatte, accusing him of stealing his bunch of banana.

Achunyiazino, 66, is said to have died after being beaten by Alex Anguma in Arua following a disagreement over proceeds from honey sales.

Enanga said a two year old baby identified as Kamulegeya Kali was found dead in a stationery car in Kanyanya zone, in Kampala while Mast Masulita, 6, reportedly drowned in a stream in Manafwa district.

In Nebbi district, an eight year boy, Lavi Tekakwo, died after being beaten by his father on March 11.

Jackson Kanene, 69, a resident of Kihunda village in Sheema district, committed suicide.
