Albert Kirema, the Schools Hockey Festival director believes hockey could become one of the most sought after sports in the near future following the success story of the 2016 schools tournament held at Kakungulu Memorial School.

"There is a lot of enthusiasm and raw talent surrounding the hockey community. I can confidently state that Hockey in the near future could take to the "high table". Said Kirema

The remarks came after Kakungulu Memorial School successfully defended the title it won last year in the Boys' category.

Kakungulu enjoyed further glory when the girls' team beat Mt St Mary's Namagunga 2-0 in the final and surely they remain the team to beat ahead in the Clubs and Schools Invitational next week at Lugogo.
