Nicholas Muramagi is new NCS general secretary

Muramagi replaces Jasper Aligawesa

Nicholas Muramagi has been confirmed as the new National Council of Sports general secretary, replacing Jasper Aligawesa.

The State minister for Sports, Charles Bakkabulindi and the new National Council of Sports board chairman Bosco Onyik confirmed that Muramagi is the new NCS General Secretary on a three year renewable contract.

He is expected to spearhead self-reliance in NCS with the target to turn the supreme sports' governing body in Uganda into a self sustaining entity.

Muramagi replaces Jasper Aligawesa who opted for a political career in Luwero district. Muramagi, who was the assistant general secretary in charge of administration, is one of the longest servants at NCS.
