The exhibition was meant to bring together all academic staff to showcase their work and inspire their students and the public.
The annual Makerere University art lecturers' exhibition has been ongoing at the Margaret Trowel School of Industrial and Fine Arts for two weeks now.
This year's exhibition was particularly interesting because it marked 20 years of an exhibition that is popularly known as Different but One.
The exhibition was initiated in 1996 by Israeli art curator Riva Uziel. It was meant to bring together all academic staff to showcase their work and inspire their students and the public.
The exhibition has also had an underlying purpose of celebrating the diversity through a unity of purpose.
Rivka Uziel, the founder and promoter of this exhibition says that the presence of this exhibition for 20 years is a testimony to success.
17 out of nearly 30 members of MTSIFA academic staff took part in this exhibition by showcasing paintings and ceramics. Different styles and forms of creativity were on show.
