Election of KCCA professional councillors underway

The Electoral Commission today conducts elections of Councillors representing professional bodies at Kampala Capital City Authority.

EC chairperson, Badru Kiggundu, said lawyers, doctors, engineers and architects vote for their representatives at KCCA.

Kiggundu clarified that the elections will go despite a court injunction stopping the exercise after a group of professionals challenged the exercise in court.

He said the Commission has not received any order from court.
