Farouk Miya's trip to Standard Liege has been delayed by the medical tests he had to undergo before travelling to Belgium.

Vipers Financial Director Vincent Sajjabi told New Vison that; "We had to carry out medical tests on the player as recommended by Standard Liege in the hospital of their choice and the good thing is we are done.

"Today (Monday) Miya was supposed to have gone to the Embassy to check on his Visa. The Belgium FA had to write to the Embassy here asking them to provide a visa for the player."

When Miya was contacted on Monday, he wasn't sure when he would receive the Visa.

"I am not sure but I am done with medical tests," Miya stated.

Belgian giants Standard Liege reached agreement with league defending champions Vipers to sign Miya for $400,000 (Sh1.3b). He will join Liege after agreeing personal terms.
