Uganda Cranes striker Brian Umony is steadily recovering after he broke his right leg playing for his club St George FC against Abramach FC in the Ethiopia Premier League match on Sunday.
The player, who is hospitalised in Bobbo, hospital Addis Ababa collided with the Abramach goalkeeper.
Umony whose leg is in paris-plaster suffered a compound fracture on the right leg which takes close to six months to recover.
The injury is expected to keep him out of action for quite a while and this should be blow to the national team, the Uganda Cranes that is due to play the 2017 AFCON qualification campaign and the 2018 World cup qualifier matches next month.
Umony scored in Uganda's 2-0 victory in the 2017 qualification campaign opening match against Botswana at Namboole.
