Dozens of snakes have invaded Katwe-Kabatoro town council in Kasese district.

Residents there say the snakes are from the neighboring Queen Elizabeth National Park. The most affected areas are those surrounding Lake Katwe.

Over 300 people earn a living from this lake by mining the rock salt. They now say that the snakes' invasion has stopped them from executing business which has affected their livelihood.
