Germany forensic experts train Uganda police

The Investigations officers are key / vital in gathering evidence and prosecuting suspects in courts of law.

A total of 20 top Criminal Investigations Detectives from three countries are training in Uganda, aiming at thwarting transnational crime.

The German Federal Agency (DKA) has spear headed the training of the officers from Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.

The training which started today will take nine days at the Naguru Forensic Center in Kampala.

Rudiger Stausky, the German liaison officer based in Kenya said, "Germany as a country has conducted this activity in many countries and has lectured many countries on evidence gathering and management in capital offences with purpose of reducing on crime in the world. This is the aim of training."
