Hillary Onek retains Lamwo NRM seat

MINISTER of disaster preparedness Hillary Onek Obaloker has retained his position as the NRM flag bearer for MP Lamwo constituency after beating three other aspirants

MINISTER for disaster preparedness Hillary Onek Obaloker has retained his position as the NRM flag bearer for MP Lamwo constituency after beating three other aspirants.

 

Onek polled 19,141 votes followed by Johnson Nyeko with 7,843, Marino Ongee Lol got 3046 and Santo Ocan 754 votes.

 

Meanwhile Sarah Lanyero Oceng, the woman MP for Lamwo district lost her position to Molly Lanyero.

 

Lanyero beat other three aspirants with 13,519 votes followed by incumbent Oceng with 7,385 votes, Nancy Acora with 6,791 and Dr. Paska Layet with 2,239 votes.

 

In the election of district flag bearer, Mathew Ocen Akiya retained his position after beating four other contestants with 11,376 votes.

 

Others are Odida Magnigo with 9,751 votes, Denis Ociti with 5,072 votes, Allan Nyero with 3,087 votes and George Otto Kumago with 952 votes.

 

The Lamwo district NRM registrar, Robinson Akera said the election was free and fair without any complaints.
