Mengo announces Buganda youth day celebrations programme

Mengo has announced arrangements for Buganda Youth Day celebrations 2015 which will commence from October 30,2015 and the main event held on November 7,2015 at Kasangati- Kyadondo Saza Headquarters

Mengo has announced arrangements for Buganda Youth Day celebrations 2015 which will commence from October 30,2015 and the main event held on November 7,2015 at Kasangati- Kyadondo Saza Headquarters.


The Kingdom spokesperson and also minister for information, Noah Kiyimba said Kabak Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II will officiate at the function which is organized under the theme “ The youth with ability to utilize the surrounding environment properly is the one Buganda needs”

Kiyimba, who’s also the chairman organizing of the function added, “ I urge every youth in Buganda and Uganda at large to involve him/herself in a one week activities which are intended to show what the youth can contribute to development of this nation.”

At the same press briefing at Bulange- Mengo on Thursday, Buganda Minister for Youth Affairs Henry Ssekabembe said they have arranged several activities aimed at involving the youth in charity work.

Dr. Richard Kabanda, the outgoing Buganda Youth Council Chairman outlined the activities to be done by the including trade show where the youth will showcase their entrepreneur skills from October 30- November 2,2015.

On November3, 2015 the youth will visit school to pass career guidance skills to students and pupils around Kampala and Wakiso districts ( Kyadondo County).

On Wednesday November 4,2015, a charity tour of Children's homes will be conducted at Ssanyu Babies’ Home, Mulago School of the Deaf and Katalemwa Childrens’ Home.

Dr. Kabanda added that on November 5,2015, a legal aid clinic and Bicycle race have been organized at Kasangati and the Health camp being organized on Friday November 6,2015 at Kasangati and the organisers have called on the population to attend these activities as they’re beneficial to them.
