Kagina counsels UNRA sacked staff

Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) Executive Director, Allen Kagina, on Thursday morning addressed the outgoing staff on career transition process.

Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) Executive Director, Allen Kagina, on Thursday morning addressed the outgoing staff on career transition process.


She assured them that transformation is for the better.UNRA last month sacked 890 staff in an on-going restructuring process and a total of 1736 staff will be recruited.

Kagina explained that the board of directors in a bid to make UNRA a fit for purpose Authority has embarked on a comprehensive restructure of the Authority and has with immediate effect resolved the following.

“Disband the entire staff establishment, given notice of collective termination of all incumbent staff excluding the executive director, commissioned a new staff establishment, salary structure and human resource polices frame work,” UNRA statement reads.

Kagina assured the public that the entire exercise will be carried out in accordance with the laws of Uganda.
