Uganda drawn against Samurai in Kenya Safari

The Rugby Cranes 7s teams have been drawn in Pool C of the Kenya Safari Sevens tournament that Kicks off Saturday at Safaricom Stadium Kasarani.

Pool C: Samurai, Zimbabwe, Uganda and Kenya Morans
Fixtures:
Samurai v Uganda, 11:40am
Zimbabwe v Uganda, 2:30pm
Uganda v Kenya Morans, 5pm
The Rugby Cranes 7s teams have been drawn in Pool C of the Kenya Safari Sevens tournament that Kicks off Saturday at Safaricom Stadium Kasarani.
According to the draws, Uganda will face Samurai, Zimbabwe and hosts' Kenya Morans in the group stages of the tournament. Two teams from each pool make it to the quarterfinal stage on Sunday.
Meanwhile team captain, Michael Wokorach is optimistic his charges will deliver great results.
"I know the strength of the other teams we will face in the group stages but our focus is to play a quarterfinal and then at worst win a Plate Cup," Wokorach stated.
"We have to take charge of breakdowns in all our games and execute all the opportunities we get," Wokorach added.
The Rugby Cranes have won Bowl and shields in previous tournaments but have never won the main cup and the Plate Cup.
Coaches Herbert Wafula and Bronson Weir will name their team from the squad that traveled for the tournament which includes, Michael Wokorach, Ramathan Govule, Eric Kasita, Charles Uhuru, Pius Ogena, Emmanuel Echodu, Solomon Okias, James Ijongat, James Ijongat, Paul Epilu, Ivan Magomu and Fred Odur.
