KAMPALA - Namirembe Cathedral Bishop, Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira has advised Christians to ensure that they have projects which will help sustain the running of church activities, while at the same time help in building talents.

Luwalira said this at the launch of a new complex building that will be built at the cathedral to mark 115 years of cathedral’s existence.

The structure, which will replace the old Kayanja building, is set to offer extra income to the church as well as host other activities.

"It is a huge job ahead but we are looking forward at achieving it,” said Luwalira.

“We are still at the initial stage, but we have been given all the power to do it.”

James Galabuzi (pictured above), the vice president of the project, said the building will a large-capacity hall, a music school, which will also provide room for the three choirs’ practice, a Sunday school, a teenage school, plus a studio.

It will also serve as a convenient wedding reception venue, especially for couples wedded at the cathedral.
