THE case in which a 23-year old man is accused of having a carnal knowledge of a seven year old boy flopped due to lack of prosecution witnesses.

This was after State Attorney Doreen Elima informed court that she need more time to summon prosecution witnesses.

Nakawa High Court resident judge Wilson Musene adjourned the case to September 20 for further hearing.

Prosecution alleges that in November 2014, Kalungi Christopher committed the offence on the minor in Lutete Gayaza in Wakiso district.

The minor was later taken to River Jordan medical center for treatment after he suffered anal bleeding among other complications.

It is alleged that the accused used to give the boy money (between sh2000 - 5000) to keep him silent. It is alleged that Kalungi also promised to kill him in case he told anyone.

The victim is no longer in school because his father refused to pay school dues for a ‘spoilt child’, his mother Winnie Nakazibwe revealed.

Nakazibwe and the victim testified against Kalungi during a closed court session in which the boy identified the accused as his abuser.

If convicted, Kalungi faces life imprisonment.
