MOTOCROSS fans entering the Garuga Racing Track on July 20, 2014 for the fourth round of the Nomi National Motocross Championship will receive a free bottle of Aqua Sipi to help them quench their thirst on the day.

This was disclosed by the organisers of event, SpeedWay Motorsport Club (SMOC) at a press conference held at Mukwano Group of Companies offices in Kampala where the company committed its sponsorship to the event.

“We are very excited to have Nomi and Aqua Sipi support our event and as one way of appreciating our fans that has made this partnership possible we shall give a bottle of mineral water to every fan that turns up for the event,” Arthur Blick Jnr stated.

FMU president Dusman Okee appealed to the organisers to observe safety of the fans by setting up tight measures.

“We are much delighted that Mukwano has continued to support sports, but please do set up crowd control measures for the overwhelming number of fans that will turn up for the event,” Okee stated.

“You heard complaints during the continental meeting in Nairobi when the Kenyans complained about crowd control failure in Uganda despite us out-reasoning them,” Okee added.

The group under its brands of Nomi and Aqua Sipi are sponsoring the event that will also be used to select the national team for both the FIM Africa Central Africa Motocross Championships and the FIM Africa Championship in Kenya and Zambia respectively next month.

Douglas Mazune, the group’s public relations liaison officer thanked motocross officials for the transparency they have exhibited in developing the sport and pledged the company’s continued support.

“We look forward to Nomi and Aqua Sipi establishing a mutually beneficial relationship with motocross, fans, officials and competitors,” Mazune stated.
