KAMPALA - The Police bomb squad and the army have cordoned off two bus parks in Kampala over a suspected terror attack, New Vision has learnt.

The security teams are checking whoever is entering and moving out of Qualicel bus terminal at Nakivubo and Kalita bus park.

Early last month, Police issued a terror alert in which all security agencies and members of public were told  to report any suspicious people and particularly suspicious Land Cruiser vehicles.

Four vehicles reportedly carrying terrorists were suspected to have sneaked into the country using the Kenya-Uganda border.

In March this year, police also alerted the public of terror attacks by Al-Shabaab on fuel stations in Uganda.

The possible targets, according to that communication, were fuel tanker stopovers and parking places like Naluwerere, Mbiko, Lugazi, Nakawa, Buwama, Lyantonde, Ruti, Rubaale, Karuma, Elegu.
