A recent study of world leaders on social media network has ranked Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi as the most conversational politician on Twitter.

trueA recent study of world leaders on social media network has ranked Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi as the most conversational politician on Twitter.
The annual global study conducted by Burson-Marsteller, a leading global public relations and communications firm, said Mbabazi whose Twitter account is @AmamaMbabazi has 33,268 followers and has a 95% reply to other Twitter users.
“Ugandan Prime Minister, Amama Mbabazi @AmamaMbabazi is the most conversational world leader on Twitter,” noted a statement released by Burson-Marsteller’s partner Fireworks Advertising Uganda.
Mbabazi is the first known Uganda Government official to embrace Twitter and he has a popular #tag title “AskthePM” where he engages the media via Twitter on issues concerning governance, politics, accountability, economy and social events within the country.
Mbabazi’s last Tweet on June 21 stated: “Well done Nigeria! Africa now looks a brilliant contender for the 2014 World Cup!”

Speaking to New Vision, Josephine Mayanja-Nkangi, the Prime Minister’s press assistant, described it as ‘a great development’. She said she would communicate to Mbabazi who was attending a Cabinet meeting then.
Burson-Marsteller conducts the survey annually and this time, data was collected in June 2014 from the accounts of 643 heads of state and government, foreign ministers and their institutions in 161 countries.
Ruth Aine Tindyebwa, an online trender, says: "It is a good thing, considering the fact that majority of MPs are having problems with figuring out how to use the iPads bought for them.
"Mbabazi being online has a lot to do with him being a person that easily adapts to technology which is a good thing as well. That is what should be celebrated."
According to the Twiplomacy, a report on the annual global survey released on Wednesday, Kenya’s president Uhuru Kenyatta (@UKenyatta) is Africa’s most-followed president, with 456,209 followers.
Uhuru is followed by Paul Kagame of Rwanda and South Africa President Jacob Zuma (@SA President). Kagame comes second to Mbabazi in the most African conservational leader category.
