UAHEB launches new curricula for health Institutions

Uganda Allied Health Examinations Board (UAHEB) has launched a new curricula for health institutions in the country.

Uganda Allied Health Examinations Board (UAHEB) has launched a new curricula for health institutions in the country.


The new curricula covers clinical medicine and community health,, medical laboratory techniques. The executive secretary of UAHEB, Kato Kimoga said during the launch of the curricula in Kampala that all health Institutions must use the new curricula when teaching.

“UAHEB has decided to launch the new curricula because a very big percentage of the candidates examined are from laboratory technology and clinical medicine,” he said.

Kimoga said that the board has higher expectations that the review and launch of the curricula for the certificate in laboratory technology and diploma in clinical medicine will enhance quality of health professionals.

“We hope Allied health Institutions will adopt the curricula and implement it in the next academic year” he said.

Kimoga appreciated the efforts of ministry of education and sports in spearheading the development and establishment of Allied Health Institutions.
