Little girl''s head swells after eye operation

A little girl is in serious pain due to a swollen head that was caused by an eye operation.

The problems of seven-year-old Esther Kwagala, a pupil of Ssekiwuga Primary School in Mpigi, started after she was taken to hospital to have a cataract, the most common cause of blindness, removed from her eye.

The girl’s desperate father, Sam Kwagala, says after the operation her head started to swell and her face puffed. He says she is in so much pain; she cannot sleep and feed expecting drink.

Kwagala is appealing to well-wishers for financial help so he can save his little girl. He says sh40m is needed for comprehensive medical intervention.
