URA FC has released midfielder Owen Kasule, defender Derrick Walulya, goalkeeper Allan Owiny and Evans Tugume.

The club head coach Paul Nkata has said that the decision is part of his plans to reorganise the Uganda Cup winners for the next CAF Confederations Cup.

Departure of the players follows earlier suspensions for Owiny and Walulya for ‘misbehaving’ last November.

Kasule had also been recommended for the same after the player refused to travel for the Uganda Cup final in Mbale last month.

“I will present my technical strategy to the rest of the club officials as we plan for next season,” Nkata said.

“We have achieved what we wanted at the end of last season and we need to strengthen as we go to represent the country in Africa,” he added.

Jinja based Super League club BUL Football Club also announced on Wednesday that they will release six players on July 1.

The club’s head of communication Joseph Mutaka said that the club will not renew contracts for assistant coach/player Arthur Kyesimira, Frank Balabala and Pauleta Emenyu while running contracts for Daniel Oyirwoth, Tommy Okello and Aziz Kemba will be terminated.

“We thank the named persons for their services to BUL FC during the period they have been with us and we wish them the best in their endeavours,” Mutaka said.
