FOURTEEN year old sensation Ezra Bida has been dropped out of Uganda’s U-17 2015 African Championship qualifiers for lack of passport.

Head coach Matia Lule said on Wdnesday morning that he was forced to drop the youngest player in the squad against his will.

FUFA has not yet secured travel documents and ascertained his age using the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technology as expected by FIFA and Confederation of African Football.

“I was convinced with Bida’s good performance in training but unfortunately FUFA could not get his passport and the MRI in time,” Lule said.

Uganda confronts the Seychelles at Unity Stadium, Mahe on Saturday and has named a squad of 18 players and seven officials that leaves for Seychelles aboard Kenya Airways on Thursday morning.

The first leg of the qualifier is scheduled to kick-off at 3:30pm.

The Uganda Cubs last competed in the qualifiers in 2010 and beat Zambia 3-1 on aggregate but were banned for two years and disqualified from Rwanda 2011 Africa U-17 championship for age issues.
