VISION Group again has something special for its readers. Uganda’s top media house yesterday launched its World Cup magazine amidst praises.

Cranes coach Micho Sredojevic couldn’t hide his attraction to the glossy 100-page publication that goes on sale today. “I have travelled to about 138 countries and I have never seen a magazine as good as this. I thank New Vision for a great job done,” he said.

The magazine is selling at sh5,000 —the same price as the 2010 edition. The Serbian tactician, who was chief guest at the magazine’s launch at Vision Group’s head offices, said the magazine will be handy in the build-up to Uganda’s Africa Nations Cup match this weekend.

“I will carry some copies back to the Cranes camp for my players to read while relaxing ahead of the game. There are stories that will also motivate the players.”

Vision Group CEO Robert Kabushenga commended the Sports Desk for a job well done.

“I am proud of the work that has been put into this World Cup magazine. It’s a first class magazine and I would encourage our readers to secure a copy of this special souvenir issue.”

He observed that the magazine has depth.

“It captures everything about the World Cup that our audiences will want to know. There is an analysis of all the teams, fixture chart, and a preview of all the host cities.”

Sports Editor Fred Kaweesi stressed that New Vision is committed to quality.

“We always strive for excellence. I hope our readers do appreciate this year’s World Cup souvenir issue that is rich in everything.”

He said they strived to make this issue memorable, a one-stop centre for everything one would want about the World Cup.

“It has an in-depth analysis of every team, a guide for those intending to travel to Brazil, a guide through all the 12 host cities, what hotels to look out for and at how much a night. This issue is in high-definition,” Kaweesi added.
