Mayiga highlights achievements as Katikkiro

Buganda Katikkiro, Charles Peter Mayiga, has marked one year in office. Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II appointed Mayiga Katikkiro in May last year replacing Eng JB Walusimbi.

Buganda Katikkiro, Charles Peter Mayiga, has marked one year in office. Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II appointed Mayiga Katikkiro in May last year replacing Eng JB Walusimbi.
The Katikkiro highlighted his one-year achievements to Buganda Lukiiko (parliament) at Bulanga Mengo, Mayiga on Monday.
“It is now one year serving as the Kaitikkiro of Buganda; I want to thank his majesty for believing in me,” he said.

Achievements include; collection of money to restore the Kasubi tombs and the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the central government and the Mengo government among others.
The Katikkiro thanked Buganda ministers for supporting him.
