MOSES Kipsiro is among the top stars that have been lined up for the annual Bangalore Road Run that is due May 18 in India.
The elite athletes list was announced by the race promoters Procam International last week, who said that the race has attracted 25,000 runners.
Kipsiro, the double 5000m and 10000m Commonwealth Games champion, was announced as among the top runners that will participate in the annual event that has attracted defending champion Alex Oloitiptip and Linnet Masai, winner of seven World Championships medals on the women's side.
Kipsiro and Oloitiptip will be facing other top runners that include Kenyan Geoffrey Kipsang Kamworor, Vincent Chepkok and Ababel Yeshaneh, all top runners in the world.
Lucy Kabuu and Meselech Melkamu will be among the top women runners in the event.
Kamworor, winner of the Bangalore 10K in 2012, ran the fastest half-marathon of 2013, while Kabuu is among the world's leading female distance runners, and Melkamu was one of the fastest debutants in marathon in 2012.
Chepkok was the eighth fastest athlete in 10,000m in 2013, Masai has won several medals at the World Championships in different events, and Yeshaneh was the fifth fastest female runner over 10,000m in 2013.
