AS part of their annual scholarships scheme, the Madhvani Foundation has launched this year’s programme that will see at least 150 students supported for university education.

The scholarship covers tuition for students from second year for the undergraduate programmes and for those at postgraduate level, it covers the entire course of study.

Speaking during the launch at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala on Tuesday, the chairperson Madhvani Foundation Scholarship Committee , Anthony Butele said the scholarship goes to only Ugandan students who are bright but underprivileged.

He added that the award of the scholarship is based on merit, competence, candidates’ ability and financial status of parents, guardians and for students pursuing their studies at Ugandan universities.

The application forms can be accessed from the company’s website at www.madhvanifoundation.com or at the different universities and the process runs up to the 31st of May.
