PATRICK Van Pee, the father of motocross young star Maxime Van Pee has offered a tractor to upgrade the Garuga racing track ahead of the National Championship on May 18.

Van Pee made the commitment during a press briefing on Monday at Speedways Motor Garage during the launch of the fourth round of the National Motocross Championship.

“It’s very rare to get a motocross track at the lake and Garuga is a very good site for fans. We want to upgrade it to international standards,” Van Pee told New Vision Sport.

He also offered to meet the transport costs for the Uganda Motocross team bikes to Zambia for the Africa Motocross Championship in August.

“Transport has been our major challenge and we send a small team of twelve riders to South Africa just because of transport challenges, but now that almost 30-40% of the budget has been covered we are shall be able to send a bigger team,” Blick stated.
