The ministry of health has started the renovation of nine hospitals countrywide.

The ministry of health has started the renovation of nine hospitals countrywide.
The beneficiary facilities are Moroto Regional Referral Hospital, and general hospitals: Mityana, Iganga, Kiryadongo, Anaka, Nebbi, Moyo, Nakaseka and Entebbe.
This is under the Uganda Health Systems Strengthening Project (UHSSP).
The renovations worth $59m (about sh146b), are funded with a World Bank loan.
Rukia Nakamatte, the ministry’s spokesperson, said work was progressing “very well. We expect to finish in July 2015.”
