AFTER announcing its new Facebook-inspired profile pages earlier this month, Twitter is finally rolling out the new look to all of its users. Most accounts are being given the option to switch now or stick with the old look for a bit longer. All accounts will presumably switch over automatically in the near future.

Twitter’s redesigned profile pages make it a easier to scan someone’s information by spreading it across the entire page. Your main picture now appears in the top left corner with a banner picture above it.

Recent tweets still appear in a chronological stream, though your most popular posts will be bigger than the rest. You can also pick one of your own favorite tweets and pin it to the top of your profile for everyone to see.

The new design offers a few new ways to filter tweets. You can pick between regular tweets, just the tweets with photos or videos and all tweets including replies.

Finally, Twitter is emphasizing your favorites with a new tab that lets anyone easily view a stream of tweets you starred. This feature was already available, but you previously had to click through a few menus to find it.

Head to Twitter to check out the new look and to setup your new profile. You’ll be able to customize everything just they way you want it before officially switching your own account to the new design.
