Following weeks of bickering among the defunct Eagles' Production over copyrights, brand name, and of course money, the grand finale was to be witnessed over the long Easter weekend as they tussled it out on stage, albeit at different venues.

And if the crowds were anything to go by, at the end of it all it's the talent that mattered to the fans.

Lutaaya and his wife Irene Namatovu under New Eagles thrilled crowds at Holly Fam in Nansana while Ronald Mayinja, Mesach Ssemakula, Stecia Mayanja and the rest under Golden Band wowed fans at Sunset Pub also in Nansana.

Lutaaya and wife hit the stage with their chart buster ‘Aliba ani’ to the raucous applause of the fans. It was as though a stone had been pelted at a beehive.

Their concert was also graced by former Eagles' Production members Baby Rich, Jemima Namatovu, Ali Yawe and Alisha Busuulwa. Other artistes were Harriet Kisaakye and Nince Henry.

In a humbling gesture Lutaaya asked his fans to also show support for the Golden Band members who are like his brothers and sisters because they hustled together to come this far. This drew deafening applause from the fans as the party got into high gear.

At Sunset Pub the venue was full to the brim at just 7.00pm. Fans were even patched atop neighbouring buildings just to catch a piece of the action as the new Golden Band members thrilled their fans.

Among other artistes that graced their concerts was Dr. Hilderman who excited fans when he said he was seeing his future with Golden Band.
