MUBS have the chance to top Group A of the Nile Special University Football League when they confront Mbarara University of Science and Technology in Western Uganda today.

MUBS coach Charles Ayieko is not bothered that his players, who also feature in the Pepsi Beach soccer league, could be fatigued for the fixture and he is instead looking at it as an added opportunity to improve on their game.

Unlike last season, MUBS does not have an outstanding player to turn around their fortunes but Maxwell Okello and Stephen Ogwal appear to be a notch above the rest of the MUBS players. Okello offers MUBS experience while Ogwal notched the lone goal as MUBS beat defending champions Kampala University 1-0.

“We are playing in the league which has greatly changed. We won our last two matches and we are still focused on winning more matches as they come. But you cannot undermine any team because the league has evolved,” Ayieko said.
