A total of 692 Police officers will pass out on Wednesday at the Police Training School, Kabalye in Masindi district.

The officers are from the newly-created Field Force Regiment, a specialised unit of Police trained to deal with tactical obstacles.

The officers are trained in ‘obstacle crossing,’ allowing them to wade through difficult situations by performing daring stunts and skipping over barricades.

The officers underwent a six-month long special skills training with instructors from Korea. 52 of the new Police officers are female.

President Yoweri Museveni will preside over the pass-out ceremony.
