Damaged uterus cases soar at Mulago Hospital

There are increasing numbers of damaged uterus cases received by the Mulago Hospital as a result of abortions carried out from private clinics.

The executive director of the national Referral Hospital Mulago, Baterena Byarugaba, said that many women report to the hospital with already damaged body systems   after going   through unsuccessful abortions from some clinics and end sometimes up die at Mulago.

Dr Baterana wants law enforcers to be vigilant and crack a whip on the clinics that are involved in terminating unwanted pregnancies to save lives.
