Since 2009, singer/actress Juliana Kanyomozi has graced East African TV screens as one of the Judges of the talent show Project Fame. While some worried that it had compromised her singing career it seems to have opened up newer doors for her.

trueThe singer, who appears alongside stunning kid sister Laura Kahunde in Henry Ssali’s latest movie Bullion and was recently named most desirable woman by The Beat, New Vision’s Friday entertainment pullout, was recently named global Swedish cosmetics firm, Oriflames’ brand ambassador for Uganda.

Oriflame Cosmetics is active in North and East of the African continent.

Kanyomozi, whose pay officials are reluctant to reveal, will be doing this in conjunction with two other celebrities: singers Lady Jaydee and Jamila Mbugua who will represent the brand in Tanzania and Kenya respectively.

The three brand ambassadors will feature in Oriflame’s product catalogues, and will also be engaged in selected brand events to represent the brand throughout the year 2014.

The partnership will also extend to joint Corporate Social Responsibility activities with the celebrities as well.
“Juliana Kanyomozi, Lady Jaydee and Jamila have been named because of their style and approach to beauty which is the ideal representation for the Oriflame brand.

They are strong and talented women who many people across East Africa readily identify with,” says Klas Kronaas, Oriflame East Africa Managing Director.

Kronaas expressed delight that the East African operation had brought on board authentic brand evangelists who are as passionate about the brand as the company is to nature inspired beauty products through network marketing, people, culture and world class service.

Harry Njagi, Oriflame East Africa Head of Marketing and Sales Support says
“Our products - inspired by nature are very popular with women of all ages across East Africa, especially owing to the fact that we have the widest range in personal care and the signing of these three passionate women is expected to deepen our market access and increase our brand visibility,”
