NDEJJE Elites’ skipper Belinda Jepkirui is confident her side will perform to full expectation at the upcoming Africa Volleyball Club Championship starting April 17-28 in Carthage, Tunisia.

Jerkirui who will travel with 10 others said that the whole team is in good shape and that they have already worked on their weak points like blocks and centre tactics.

“What has always let us down are the loopholes in the centre and weakness in blocks but that has all been solved and we expect the best out there,” she said during the team’s final training the Ndejje University main campus in Luweero on Sunday.

The team coach Johnson Kawenyera boasts of four players the two-time league champions contributed to the national team that nearly qualified for the World Championships including Christine Alupo, Saidat Nnungi, Maureen Mwamula and Jesca Kaidu.

The four are likely to make up backbone of the team assisted by Aminah Namwanje and Moreen Nakabuubi together with other new recruits Margret Namyalo, Glays Nyakecho, Carolyne Kasande and Irene Amoding.

But at the same-time, Ndejje will not be having Peace Busingye, Miriam Namiiro and Shamim Makongoro who represented the team in Madagascar after completing their studies at the university last year.
