MANY have attended patriotism classes to be able to learn how to love their country, but this is not the case with motocross rider Unisan Bakunda who had retired from motocross after an injury.

The former MX2 champion will return to the track to beef up Uganda’s MX2 team category in the FIM-Central Africa Motocross Challenge (FIM-CAC) on Easter Sunday at the Uganda Motorsport Arena in Busiika.

Bakunda, the 2009 MX2 national champion last year went to South Africa for training started preparations to improve his fitness ahead of the regional show down against neighbours Kenya.

“Yes we are looking for a good bike for him to beef up the MX2 team. We want to balance the strength of all our teams from 50cc to MX1 so that we can win this home leg with a bigger point margin,” national team captain Arthur Blick Jnr confirmed the development.

Uganda will host the first leg on Easter Sunday and the final leg in December while defending champions Kenya will host the second leg later in the year.

Bakunda will join Fatuh Kiggundu, Michael Ntairo and Ahmed Tamale to form a strong MX2 team that has always been weak on the regional scene.
