DESPITE flying in a new Yamaha YZ 250cc, 2014 model bike, Asaf Natan’s has been ruled of the team that will battle Kenyan on home turf due to an injury that has failed to heal in time.

Asaf early this year ordered for a new bike which arrived in the country last month for the FIM-Central Africa Challenge at Busiika on Easter Sunday but the shoulder injury he sustained in December last year can’t allow to compete.

“I have bought a new bike, but unfortunately I will not make it in the first round of FIM-CAC at Busiika because of the injury,” Asaf confirmed the development to New Vision Sport.

“I will be supporting team Uganda and by the second round when am fit and okay, I will be part of the team to Nairobi,” Asaf stressed before adding that he is confident team Uganda is strong enough to win the event.

With the absence of Natan, Maxime Van Pee, Talha Kiggundu and team captain Arthur Blick Jnr will carry the mantle in the MX1 category against Kenyan stars Shivam Vinayak, Ivan Guya and Tutu Maina.
