WINNING remained elusive for Vipers but the Buikwe side still maintained the FUFA Super League lead after being held by Kira Young.

The two sides played to a goal-less draw but what would have been a blow to Vipers’ title chase was lightened by a draw by second placed URA.

It was Vipers’ third match without a goal.  They first drew with bottom placed CRO last week before losing to URA in the Uganda Cup on Tuesday.

Friday’s action had Sports Club Victoria University cruising to a 5-0 win over CRO while struggling Express ambushed SC Villa 2-0.  The win was shortly after Victoria’s 5-1 Uganda Cup win Big League side Saints.

Victoria University coach was however not about to be excited by the win. “CRO have problem. Most of their first team players were even missing,” noted Byekwaso.

Barely ten minutes into the match SCVU were already 2-0 up thanks to Mathew Odong and Caesar Sapewo goals. Denis Iguma made it three at 30 minutes before Musa Mawejje and Dan Isiagi sealed the visitors’ fate.

At Nakivubo, Express had Willy Kavuma and Isaac Serunkuma scoring against the Red Eagles’ arch-rivals.

At Masaka Recreation ground the home side was held to a surprise draw by struggling Proline. Proline FC’s Ivan Kisekka scored for Masaka LC while Andrew Kidega for Proline C.
