KAMPALA - City Hall gates were opened Monday morning and Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago allowed to enter the KCCA premises.

He arrived at the City Hall at 8: 45am local time (EAT) accompanied by his aides, but his supporters were blocked amid a heavy anti-riot police presence in the city.

Court last Friday blocked planned by-elections pending Lukwago's appeal against the legality of the KCCA tribunal that said he was unworthy to be Mayor.
