St.Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK) face defending champions Hana Mixed School Sunday in what is expected to be a bruising semi-final of the Schools’ rugby league at the Makerere graveyard ground.
The last time two met was last year in the group stages of the league and SMACK attributed the defeat to the Hana's female fans that overwhelmed his boys leading to lose of focus.
SMACK coach Ronald Mutebi told New Vision that his charges are determined to be crowned league champions this year and the boys are ready for the show down that is on a neutral ground.
“I have told the boys to contain the pressure and they know that to be champions they must be ready for any condition that arise,” Mutebi stated.
He added that his side has also been boosted by the return flankers Edward Miiro, Eric Mukasa and winger Antony Opio who returned for their “A” level.
However, Hana coach Robert Sseguya scoffed at Mutebi saying that Mutebi is dreaming.
“Rugby is not about words and he should know that we are champions,” Sseguya stated.
In the other fixture, Namilyango has a mountain to climb as they host unpredictable London College that in the group stages upset Hana with a 3-3 all result.
