The crowds eager to catch Jose Chameleone perform streamed in as early 7:00pm, braving the chills of the evening that would later spoil the party with rains.

The singing started off as early as 8:00pm with the likes of AK47, Geoffrey Lutaaya, David Lutalo, Big Eye, Mikie Wine, Bobi Wine, Eddy Kenzo, Mun G, Khalifa Aganaga and King Saha.

Fans braved the rain at the concert

 All those were just fine, except they were all shadowed by Mowzey Radio and Weasel’s performance.

Crowds were just excited to see these Goodlyfe boys perform at Chameleone’s concert, a clear hint that the matter of reconciliation t is in process between the two camps.

Dressed like a biblical Roman warrior complete with a sword, Chameleone got on stage two-hours later and started his musical journey.

He performed songs like Kipepeo, Mambo Bado, Bombooclat, Vumilia, Tingisha and many more others. In between performances, the lanky singer kept thanking his fans for turning up in big numbers and said;

“I urge all artistes to start performing at [Lugogo Cricket Oval] so we prove to people that this ground can not only be filled by Nigerian and Jamaican artistes but also us the local artistes.”

Airtel, main sponsors of the show alongside Vision Group’s Bukedde TV and Pepsi, gave out cash prizes to a one Moses Katende in the on-going promotion.

Designer Latif silenced doubters when he fashioned two dresses in just six minutes set. That was one of the performances before Chameleone got on stage.

After an interval, Chameleone returned and performed two pieces on saxophone before inviting Swahili Nation of the Mpenzi fame and Tanzania’a TID among others to join him on stage.

The show went on towards midnight but by that time, a chunk of the crowd had vanished to their homes.
