DEFENDING champions Hana Mixed School defeated Kololo Secondary School 11-6 in Nsangi avenging the first leg defeat with the same score in the opening fixture of the Schools Rugby League.

Robert Masinde scored a drop goal while Kevin Keremundu and Steven Alul added a penalty each in a tight bruising encounter on home turf in Nsangi.

James Ijongat scored Kololo SS’s two penalties.

“The boys were a bit not composed as expected, maybe because they had lost to the same team before but we managed to win and we are back to the drawing board in preparation for London College on Sunday,” Hana coach Robert Sseguya said after the match.

“London College is a difficult team to defeat at home but we want to show them good rugby regardless of the results,” Sseguya added.

In other fixtures Kololo Secondary School host Kyambogo College at Kyadondo Rugby Club, Kings College Budo face Namilyango at Budo while Makerere College seek their maiden win when they host SMACK at Graveyard Ground.
