UGANDA Lacrosse Union (ULU) has confirmed a team of over 15 players will have a residential camp starting next month ahead of the World Lacrosse Championship (WLC) slated for July 10-19 in Denver, United States.

The ULU general secretary Maurice Sserunkuma told New Vision Sport that the preparations needed for the team to have further training are underway.

“We are going to camp for three months before the team leaves for the games.  We want to give ample time to our players to train well”, Sserukuma stated.

Sserukuma also noted that Uganda is the only and the first country from Africa to take part in the 38 nation world championship.

The official further added that event will earn the team experience and also improve on theirs skills

In the last edition (2010), United States defeated Canada in the final of the championships that were held in Manchester, England.
