DEO Akope and Denis Anguyo missed the cut yet again at the Kenya open.

‘Yellow boy’ Akope who was contesting in the lucrative event for the third time and Anguyo who was making a maiden appearance at the lucrative event found themselves off the mark after two days of action at Karen Golf Club.

Akope who shot an opening 73 was undone by 5 bogeys and a double bogey on the par 4 hole No. 1 for a total of 78 on day two.

Anguyo game wasn’t any better either. He shot four over par to finish with a total of 153, seventeen strokes off the cut-off point while Akope was 15 strokes off.

The Ugandans weren’t alone though. Last year’s runner up Tim Sluiter from Spain and 24 Kenyans together with sixty others from across the world were also among the culprits who missed out on the share of the 200,000 euros (sh700m) prize money.

Kenya’s Greg Snow (4th) and Dismas Indiza (10th) after day three are the only East Africans that will partake on the prize money.

The European tour qualifying event ends on Sunday.
