Not only is it used in homes, but also in heavy duty industries because traditional energy like firewood is not sufficient. Before LPG came to Uganda, people were mainly depending on firewood, charcoal and electricity. However, with the increasing depletion of forests evidenced by climate change, experts are inclined to promote gas as a credible alternative.
