Joshua Tukamuhebwa, the youngest entrant in the National Boxing Open Championship, is a person of big ambitions.

The 14-year-old light fly weight will represent African Sport at the seven-day show that starts at the MTN Arena, Lugogo on Sunday.

Tukamuhebwa, due to begin his secondary school education at City High school, has since childhood nursed the idea of joining the national team.

He said the event presents a perfect chance for him to go close to his objective. “I am ready for the event having trained well,” the youngster stated.

Tukamuhebwa said he is determined to join the national team. He was voted the youngest best boxer at National Intermediates Championship last month. The national open is used to pick boxers for international events
