The Uganda women volleyball team will play their second match of the 2014 Africa World Championship qualifiers against Mozambique today like nothing happened to them on Sunday.
Both Uganda and Mozambique lost to tournament favourites Kenya and Tunisia in straight sets and it will surely be the Cranes opportunity to revive their fortune against their opponents today.
“It has happened and we have to look forward. We are going to bridge the gaps and focus on a win,” coach Tonny Lakony said after the match in which Kenya dominated proceedings.
Kenya was evidently too strong for their Ugandan counterparts and beat them in straight sets at the Safaricom Indoor Arena (former Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani), Nairobi Kenya. Kenya won the first set 25-16 before proceeding to take the second and third sets 25-10, 25-14 respectively.
