Whereas the 2013/2014 Nile Special rugby league champion have already been declared as DMark Kobs, and Mutoni Warriors with Lira Bulls already relegated, the puzzle for who plays another relegation playoff against Xfm Impis is on today as Pirates battle Sadolin Mongers.

Today’s two fixtures are bruising and mouth-watering ties that will witness DMark Kobs eyeing a record clean sweep of the season without a loss as they face off with Toyota Buffaloes as Heathens did in 2010 when they won the league without losing a game.

However, both Pirates and Sadolin Mongers will have a mountain task when they face off at Legends Kampala Rugby Club in a match that will determine who goes for the relegation play-off against Xfm Impis.

Mongers are fifth on the table while Pirates lie in sixth place and the winner between two will take the fifth position, leaving the loser to go for a play-off.

“Our target is a win and I am confident we shall get it. The boys’ morale is high and they are determined to avoid relegation zone,” said Pirates team captain Eric Butime.

Meanwhile in Thursday’s league fixture Heathens defeated Ezee Money Rhinos 22-13 in a hardcracking tie at Legends Kampala Rugby Club.

Byron Atubikire managed a try and penalty while Michael Wokorach, Philip Wokorach and Arthur Mukama scored tries for Heathens as Jasper Ochan and Bishop Onen added a conversion each.

Table Standing:

1. DMark Kobs 63pts

2. Heathens 49pts

3. Buffaloes 44pts

4. Rhinos 33pts
