Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) is not about to relent on its decision to suspend three of its senior players ahead of their debut in a CAF competition.

Team captain Denis Iguma, Savio Kabugo and Mike Serumaga were suspended by the club for indiscipline.

“No player is bigger than the club. We have a clear code of conduct that must be strictly followed right from the club chairman to the ball boy,” stressed club chairman Simo Dubajic.

Addressing the media about the club’s plans at Metrpoole Hotel Dubajic said whoever doesn’t follow the club’s regulations will be disciplined.

The club makes its maiden competitive appearance on the continent this weekend with an away Confederations Cup match against DR. Congo’s Don Bosco.

Despite the absence of the three players, Dubajic and coach Morley Byekwaso have promised a good show.

“Many Ugandans doubt us but I am assuring the country that we shall put up a good show,” promised Byekwaso.

The team departs tomorrow morning for Lubumbashi.

Uganda’s other representatives KCCA, who also face Sudanese giants Al-Merrikh in Omdurman on Saturday, left.

SCVU yesterday unveiled its new strip and new signings Denis Okot, Hamza Delu, David Ndihabwe, Siraje Muhindo, Peter Otai, Daniel Isiagi, Murshid Jjuko and Brian Toorach.

The club’s sponsors Dasani Water also pledged support to the club for at least three years.
